Inbound Customer Service Representative

Job Description

The Customer Service Representative will assist District of Columbia residents with services offered by the city (i.e., SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, Medicare, etc.).

Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative

  • Assist DC residents with answers regarding services and support.
  • Resolve issues and concerns related to applications and eligibility requirements.
  • Follows escalation procedures to ensure complex support issues are resolved.
  • Handle large volumes of inbound/outbound calls professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Carefully and efficiently follow all call center scripts and guidelines, processing information and responding to difficult questions or providing customers with detailed information.
  • Navigate between multiple screens in order to provide accurate information to callers.
  • Collect and analyze customer information and inquiries while, maintaining accurate call service logs.
  • Consistently meet monthly performance goals by adhering to policies and guidelines.

Requirements of the Customer Representative Inbound

All remote workers must have access to the internet via their internet service provider by purchasing or maintain a service that provides a minimum internet speed download of 20 Mbps minimum for a single user, download of 50 Mbps for shared internet connectivity, and 5 Mbps minimum upload speed. Mobile hotspots must not be the primary source for internet connection for remote workers. Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router is allowed. Proof of an internet speed test must be provided upon request.

Our client restricts smart phone and low performing computer platforms (such as chromebooks) from accessing Amazon WorkSpaces (AWS). Maximus requires Computer Operating System: Windows10 or MacOS Catalina (10.15), MacOS Big Sur (11), MacOS (up to 12.5) or newer. For HP Users, Maximus requires removal of SMode

  • Physical Workspace – An area that is dedicated for work and not used for anything else (closed door environment), isolated from distractions and/or interruptions.

Job Detail

Salary

$17.00 base +$4.41 fringe = Total Hourly Rate $21.41

Bonus

Referral bonus- Refer a friend and receive $50 after they work 90 days
