Temp To Perm Agencies

In an insecure job market, temp to perm agencies offer employment solutions to people that may otherwise have difficulty finding a job. Temp to perm agencies connect employees with potential employers based on experience and field of work. While the name may imply solely temporary jobs, this is not always the case. Temp to perm agencies like Symphony Staffing can connect the workforce with temporary, part-time, full-time, and even direct hire.

How Temp to Perm Agencies Work

Temp to Perm Agencies are responsible for their own employees. That is, when someone is hired through a temp to perm agency, it is the agency’s responsibility to make sure the employee is properly screened and capable of the job. Most temp to perm agencies are also responsible for the employees' payroll. Nowadays, temp to perm agencies offer many more opportunities than they used to. In fact, it is estimated that roughly 12% of employees are staffed from a temp agency. That's 17 million people in the work force employed by a temp to perm agency.

Employees appreciate temp to perm agencies because they offer more flexibility in work; whether someone is looking for a job with odd hours or a new field entirely, the agencies have a long list of employers with whom they work. Likewise, employers engage temp to perm agencies because today's economy is forcing many employers to downsize full-time jobs and outsource the hiring process. On average, it can cost a small company about $56,000 just to hire one new employee. This number gets smaller as the company size grows, but it's still a large sum of money to find the right employee. That's where temp to perm agencies benefit the employer.

Because most of the HR tasks, like recruiting, reviewing resumes, and screening, are all outsourced to the temp agency, businesses save a substantial amount of money and time. They match candidates with the company based on a number of factors, so businesses can be more confident that the person they're hiring is a good fit. If and when the employee leaves, the business does not suffer the blow of "losing" a traditional employee.

Who Should Use a Temp to Perm Agency

Employers looking for qualified help, as well as people looking for jobs, benefit from using temp to perm agencies. Of course, people having trouble finding work will do very well to work with a temp to perm agency. Temp to perm agencies like Symphony Staffing have access to jobs that may otherwise not post on other job boards.

Additionally, employees looking to switch job fields and gain experience in a new field can work with a temp to perm agency to help them on their career path. Lastly, anyone looking for a flexible job, a job with different hours, or something part-time to help supplement income, can use a temp to perm agency to connect them with these types of employers. Temp to perm agencies absorb the financial and time burden of looking for and securing a job, both for businesses and potential employees.
